fujixeroxdocuprintp450dThe OEM has released the “compact” and “high-performance” machines for SOHO users.

The four machines, which include the DocuPrint P450d, P450ps, P350d and P250dw, feature Wi-Fi connectivity and offer A4 monochrome printing, with particular focus given by the manufacturer to making them “suitable for usage at various places with space constraints” in small office or home environments.

The machines, which will be available from 1 March in the Asia Pacific region, have the ability to print “delivery forms, crimped postcards and card-type national health insurance certificates”, and each holds four trays with a maximum paper capacity of 2,350 sheets, with a print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Each also uses the company’s EA-Eco toner, which fuses at more than 20 degrees Celsius lower than conventional toner.

The P450ps can print PostScript data from Adobe’s PostScript programme, and along with the P450d features a print speed of 45 ppm, whilst the P350d reaches speeds of 35ppm and can print its first page in 5.5 seconds. The P250dw in turn has a speed of 30ppm and is equipped with duplex-printing.

All four machines feature a newly-developed print engine “to realize high print speed and quick first printout time”, with Fuji Xerox adding that it believes the machines would be best utilised in “reception work at medical institutions, government offices and general service providers”. On an environmental basis, the machines also have a reduced power consumption, whilst each can print wirelessly through the OEM’s Print Utility mobile devices application.

In terms of pricing, the P250dw has not yet been priced, whereas the P350d will be available for 59,800 yen ($636/€481), the P450d for 98,000 yen ($1,042/€788) and the P450ps for 158,000 yen ($1,680/€1,270).
