INX Digital reformats compatible wide-format inks

Mar 20, 2013

The manufacturer has refined its JVS colour compatible inks in its Triangle brand. Wide-Format-Ink-Cartridges

The refinement is stated by the company as being down to “addressing a need for alternative inks in the wide-format industry”, with the new inks designed to prevent print operators from “reprofil[ing] their printers”. The inks are colour and chemically compatible with OEM inks, and “provide a cost-effective solution without sacrificing quality”.

The inks include newly-formulated magenta and yellow cartridges in 440 mililitre sizes, with consumers able to select the regular CMYK (which uses the original magenta and requires profiling) or “opt for the new colour compatible magenta and yellow” which “simply requires an operator to insert the Triangle cartridge and print”. INX Digital adds that the inks are “fast drying with excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates”, and also provide “superior performance for vehicle wraps and other wide-format work”.

Ken Kisner, INX Digital’s Vice President of Business Development and CTO for Digital Division Ink Technologies, stated: “We are very excited about the new JVS inks and so were the franchisees who attended the FASTSIGNS convention a few weeks ago. When these inks were originally introduced, they were designed to help Mimaki users who were experiencing color issues with red and yellow. We had developed JVS with a concentration on very bold reds and clean yellows, and sold them in bulk containers.

“In talking with our customers, we later realized there was an opportunity in the U.S. market to support printers who don’t have the capacity to handle bulk ink and reprofiling and want to keep their process as simple as possible.”
