OEM lists factors SMBs should consider when choosing a printer and the benefits its printers can bring to them.
An article on Albawaba discusses the ways in which Xerox claims its printers are able to specifically benefit small and medium-sized businesses, with the OEM noting that questions such as ‘how will the printer improve my business?’, ‘how will the technology be used?’ and ‘how will it move the business forward?’ are often overlooked by IT decision makers.
Xerox’s new WorkCentre 6605 Colour MFP and its Phaser 6600 colour printer are listed as examples of devices that could be advantageous for SMBs as they “make it easy to produce, share and protect the documents that power business”; with the WorkCentre 5505 MFP simplifying tasks such as faxing expense reports and scanning HR forms and the Phaser 6600 being able to produce colourful sales materials “to target new business”. The devices are also designed to fit “almost anywhere in the office” and have a small environmental footprint.
The article goes on to note more ways in which the products are able to benefit SMBs, including the provision of document protection with the Secure Print feature; easy-to-use wireless capabilities; print speeds of up to 36 pages per minute; and simplified information, with scanned files able to be automatically shared via email or network folder or saved directly to a USB device.
The print quality of the WorkCentre 6605 is also highlighted, with the device boasting built-in colour technology including Pantone Color and True Adobe PostScript3, allowing for the production of professional-looking promotional material. In addition, the device features Xerox’s oil-free EA Toner and Photo Mode for “more vibrant” colours.

The Recycler recently reported on the launch of several new printers from Xerox aimed at SMBs in India, including the Phaser 3040 printers and WorkCentre 3045 MFPs.
