Cartridge World Production (CWP) Quality System will be UK’s first of its kind.

The cartridge franchise has announced that its new CWP Quality System uses the latest integrated technology to enable precise and efficient cleaning, testing and refilling of inkjet cartridges; and will initially be available in three of its 150 UK branches – Luton, Nuneaton and Petersfield.

The system has been developed exclusively for Cartridge World by its US partner, TonerHead Worldwide, and has built on technology already in use within Cartridge World’s network. It is compatible with over 140 printhead cartridges; and Cartridge World also states that it is able to deliver excellent product quality, improve efficiency and further reduce waste.

Users of the system are able to control the inkjet cleaning, repairing, refilling and finishing processes via a touch screen, with the machine also able to automatically test each unit to ensure optimum print performance and provide remotely accessible reports, running full operational diagnostics and electrical testing and sharing performance results in real time. Furthermore, system upgrades are automatically downloaded to ensure Cartridge World staff keep up-to-date with the latest information.

Commenting on the system’s launch in the UK, John Richardson, Chairman of Cartridge World, said: “The launch of the CWP Quality System comes at a pertinent time for the industry, especially in light of the current criticism towards the original inkjet cartridge manufacturers.
