Jun 17, 2013

XeroxThe OEM stated that the jobs would be in support, sales and marketing.

The Journal.ie stated that the 90 jobs will be at IBS-Xerox (Irish Business Systems), which is the all-island arm of Xerox Ireland, and was acquired by Xerox Europe three years ago after having been an independent business since 1972.

The jobs, of which 50 will be created immediately, will be based in Dublin and Cork, will add to IBS’s 160 full-time staff, and will be in technical support, sales and marketing, with the other 40 positions to be filled throughout the next 18 months. The subsidiary is also the largest supplier of document management systems in Ireland, and the announcement follows HP winning approval for a research and development site in Ireland last week.

Jerry Carey, IBS-Xerox’s Managing Director, stated that the company “has seen increased demand in recent times”, and added: “We are seeing increased demand from our large corporate clients, together with a growth in SMEs investing in new print equipment. Both are very positive signs that confidence is returning to the business sector.”
