EpsonOEM aims to raise revenue to Rs 1,400 crore in the next three years through growth in products.

Epson India has announced that it expects its revenues to double over the next three years to approximately Rs 1,400 crore ($238 million/€177.7 million) as its inkjet and large format printer and projector categories grow, with the company’s 2012-13 revenues reaching Rs 703 crore ($119.5 million/€89.2 million), reports The Economic Times.

S.M. Ramprasad, Deputy General Manager at Epson India, said: “We see strong growth for our products. We expect to grow by 25 per cent this year. In the next three years, we hope to double our revenues to about Rs 1,400 crore.”

To further the company’s growth, a new series of mono-ink tank inkjet printers, ‘Series M’, was recently launched by Epson India, with the single function unit priced at Rs 9,999 ($170/€127) and the multifunction unit costing Rs 13,999 ($238/€178).

“We already have an L-series of colour ink tank system printers and now we are launching mono-colour printers,” said N. Sambamoorthy, Director of Sales and Marketing at Epson India. “We are confident that the new range will add to our market share, which stands at 33.8 per cent (value share of the inkjet market).”

Sambmoorthy added that the company expects small and medium sized businesses to benefit from these products initially, but large enterprises are also expected to have interest, with Epson India claiming that the new series of printers will reduce printing costs to 12 paise per page, which is said to be cheaper than original or third-party refilled toners.
