Managing Director of distributor and manufacturer announces the company will continue to import products into US market.

Union Technology has announced that its lawyer has confirmed that its products will not be affected by the USITC-Inv.No. 337-TA-829 action and forthcoming general exclusion order (GEO) due to come into force by the end of this month; with Managing Director Arnald Ho assuring customers that the company will continue to import its products to the US market and that they will still have a “continuous supply of quality and safe products” from UTec.

The USITC-Inv.No. 337-TA-829 action refers to a case filed by Canon last year against a number of aftermarket companies regarding “certain toner cartridges and components thereof”, which The Recycler has reported on over the past year and has seen several companies reach settlements with the OEM and some companies receiving a general exclusion order to cease the importation of their offending products into the US.

In his email, Ho added that UTec has invested in “research and development, long term dedication to innovation and insistence on fair trade practices”, and is “committed to working closer to you in order to attain long term sustainable growth”.
