The Managing Director of UK franking machine cartridge remanufacturer, Totalpost, has commented on his attendance of an event held at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the winner of the Queens Award, after Totalpost was presented with the Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade earlier this year.

Hymers attended the event with Ruth Reed, a member of the company’s award-winning export team, which recently received a Team of the Year award at the Warrington Business Awards.

Commenting on the event, Hymers said: “We had a fantastic day at the Palace on Tuesday 23rd July. The Queens Award is a much appreciated recognition of the hard work of the whole team at Totalpost.

“We have had a great few years in which we have increased our exports by 22 percent in 2010 and 31 percent in 2011. It really is fantastic to get this external and very prestigious recognition.”

He added that the company’s sales have increased by 20 percent since winning the award, while staff numbers have risen by 25 percent. “It’s also accelerated our plans for international growth, we’ve recently opened companies in France and South Africa and are currently opening a further subsidiary in Germany.

“Winning this award has given the whole team an extra boost and this enthusiasm is leading to more success for us. There will be a celebration for the whole Totalpost team at our head office in Alston for the official presentation in August.”
