OEM unveils new products in the Middle East designed for high performance and cost efficiency.
Albawaba.com reports on Samsung Gulf Electronics Co., Ltd.’s launch of a new line of ProXpress mono laser printers and MFPs for SMB and home office customers, with the devices said to offer fast print speeds, high print quality and versatility.
The M4020ND, M3820DW, and M3320ND printers and the M4070FR, M3870FW and M3370FD MFPs have an all-in-one integrated toner system along with eco features and duplex printing capabilities to lower costs. Print speeds can reach between 25ppm and 42ppm for “letter sized” documents, and the devices enable increased workflow through document and image processing using a Cortex A5 processor and up to 256MB of memory. They are also able to print on a range of media such as labels, cards and envelopes.
The M3870FW and M4070FR MFPs include a duplex automatic document feeder (DADF), allowing users to copy, scan and fax double-sided documents easily, with scan speeds reaching 24ipm for single-sided documents. Furthermore, Samsung’s Rendering Engine for Clean Pages (ReCP) technology is utilised in both series to improve readability of printed documents, which are printed at resolutions of up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi.
While all of the devices come with the Samsung Easy Printer Manager, integrating all print management into one “easy-to-use” system; the M3820 DW and M3870FW also feature embedded WiFi, allowing up to five devices at a time to connect to the printer.
Samsung’s Easy Eco Driver and One Touch Eco Button allow the devices to help SMBs manage printing options and save money, reducing paper, toner and energy consumption; with the OEM claiming that users can save up to 20 percent in toner usage when in toner saving mode, which allows them to remove unwanted images and text from a print. In addition, the devices use four different toner cartridges to support different print volumes, from standard yields of 3,000 pages to ultra-high-yield 15,000 pages.
Security features include Samsung SyncThru Admin, offering “greater control of user, document and network access”; while a built-in numeric key pad means that users can print securely by entering a PIN and selecting either a confidential or personal print job directly from the driver.
Mobile printing is also enabled on the devices using Samsung’s Mobile Print App, which supports any Android, Windows or iOS mobile device. The printers are also Google Cloud Print Ready so that users can print remotely from any mobile device through their Google account.
