The two machines are built for “speed, productivity and printing on the go”.

The new devices are the Phaser 3610 and WorkCentre 3615 MFP, which Xerox says are aimed at small to medium-sized businesses. Both printers feature a print speed of 47ppm, said to be “among the fastest” in their respective categories, and can be equipped with three additional 550-sheet paper trays for a total capacity of 2,350 sheets, with print resolutions of 1200 x 1200 dpi.

The two printers can also utilise Apple’s AirPrint mobile printing application, as well as Xerox’s own PrintBack app for off-site printing. The WorkCentre 3615, as an MFP, can “programme the next job while others are in progress”, as well as “scan legal-sized pages so bound documents don’t have to be disassembled”.

Another feature of both printers is their “extra-high” capacity toner cartridges alongside automatic duplex printing – though the one-sided option can allow for multiple pages to be printed “on one sheet”. Optional wireless connectivity, as well as a secure printing feature included as standard, allow for wireless networking and secure document protection respectively.

The toner used in the machines is Xerox’s EA toner, which apparently “reduces CO2 emissions during manufacturing by an estimated 28 percent” in comparison to “conventional toners”. The WorkCentre 3615 MFP is estimated to retail at $999 (€752), whilst the Phaser 3610’s price is set to be $599 (€451), with both now available globally.
