Messe Frankfurt, the organisers of Paperworld and Remanexpo trade fairs, has reported that it received positive feedback following the ninth Paperworld China show, with the addition of the new Zone of Elite, featuring “quality suppliers” being described as “a main highlight” of the event.

19,875 visitors from 74 countries and regions attended the trade fair, 15 percent of which were international visitors, with Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, India, US, Russia, Indonesia and Singapore being the top ten visiting countries. 421 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions used the event as a platform for promoting their products and services.

Commenting on the show, Fiona Chiew, Deputy General Manager for Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., said: “Paperworld China is attracting industry people from different parts of the world and this year the main show attraction was our new Zone of Elite, dedicated to high quality products. It received a positive response from both exhibitors and visitors.”

Visitors also remarked on the show’s success, with Hiro Inoue of NCA International Ltd. in Japan, commenting: “I am happy that I found a few interesting products here. This show helps me to find good Chinese suppliers;” and Jan Van Belleghem, Managing Director of Belgian company Interaction Q-Connect, who was looking for non-branded office products for the European market and participated in the show’s business matching programme, commenting: “I met a few suppliers through the business matching programme.  Some of them offer nice products and this service helps me to source.”

As well as exhibitors, the show also provided seminars for visitors to learn from and participate in, covering topics including retail, a new EU timber regulation and the Russian stationery and office supplies market.

The aftermarket will be able to benefit from next year’s Remanexpo@Paperworld event, which will take place in Frankfurt on 25 to 28 January. Visit www.therecycler.com/remanexpo for more information. (http://www.therecycler.com/remanexpo/)
