OKI Systems UK’s headquarters
Takaaki (Hagi) Hagiwara announced as OEM’s new Managing Director and Regional Vice President for the western European region.
OKI Systems stated that Hagiwara’s new role will see him lead the UK office as well as having overall responsibility for operations in Ireland; with over 24 years of experience with the company meaning he has a range of marketing and senior management skills.
Hagiwara joined OKI in 1990, initially as a member of the overseas marketing division, with recent roles including General Manager of the Asia Pacific region, based in Japan, and General Manager of Western Europe. He also spent two-and-a-half years in the role of Managing Director of OKI Data Australia, as well as four-and-a-half years as Managing Director of OKI Data Singapore.
Based at OKI Europe Ltd’s headquarters in Egham, UK, Hagiwara’s new role will see him report to Terry Kawashima, the recently appointed Managing Director of OKI Europe; who commented on the appointment of Hagiwara: “Hagiwara has a great track record at OKI and his experience and expertise will be an invaluable asset to the company as OKI Systems UK looks to consolidate its key role in the business-to-business printer; document output and management markets.”
Meanwhile, Hagiwara himself commented: “It’s a great time to be taking over the reins at OKI in the UK. I am looking forward to evolving our proposition into emerging managed document solutions markets, while consolidating the valued relationships we have developed with channel and business partners and with our core business customers across the UK and Ireland.”
