moscowInterest in 3D printing grows in Russia as devices become more easily available at lower prices.

RUVR reports that 3D printers have begun to be sold in Moscow Engineering supermarkets, with new models expected to be added in shops throughout the year.

Beginning at a price of €330 ($450) for the printers and €66 ($90) for cartridges, the devices are cheaper than many earlier 3D printer models and are expected to become popular among consumers during 2014, who will be able to create a wide range of objects “from nails to complex designer objects for decorating the apartment”.

The Recycler has recently reported that a number of OEMs are planning to enter the 3D printing market, including HP, Epson, and Xerox.
