The event, which contains Remanexpo@Paperworld China, is set to feature a range of Chinese pavilions and more office items.
The show, which is set to take place from 18 to 20 September 2014 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China, will feature “a number of Chinese pavilions” and a Taiwanese pavilion, with companies from across both nations set to exhibit at the pavilions. Expectations at this point suggest that the event will attract around 25,000 visitors and 550 manufacturers and suppliers.
Organisers Messe Frankfurt stated that “creativity and quality are the key elements at the show”, with a “larger range” of office products on display across the board. Exhibitors have been confirmed from across the globe, including from Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Switzerland, the UK and the USA.
Along with the pavilions, several zones will be set up around the event to “cater” for the growing and increasingly richer Chinese middle class, which has an annual household income of between RMB106,000 ($16,956/€12,461) and RMB229,000 ($36,632/€26,921), and which is predicted to make up 54 percent of the total urban population in China by 2022, making it the “largest mainstream consumer group”.
This group is said to be “looking for trendy and quality products that can express their individuality and personal taste”, with the Zone of Elite one of the aforementioned zones at the event where buyers can “source quality high-end brands from local and international suppliers”.
Fiona Chiew, Deputy General Manager for Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai), stated: “As well as traditional office supplies such as paper and printing products, buyers will be able to source a full range of office products from coffee machines, dehumidifiers, air purifiers, IT accessories to desk decoration items and office plants.”
Catherine Lu, CEO of exhibiting Chinese company Ujipin, added: “Paperworld China is the right place for us to share our ideas and to showcase our new products to customers. Office is not necessarily boring. We can enjoy a happy and fun workplace by using trendy and creative office items.”
