The company stated that the chips are “firmware-resistant” chips designed for use with HP’s 970, 971 and 980 inkjet cartridges, adding that the chips work “with all current firmware updates” and are in stock for shipping worldwide. Similar chips designed for use in HP’s 655, 670 and 685 inkjet cartridges as well, with all the chips featuring the company’s “patented ink gauge technology”, which provides “full functionality while avoiding HP’s ink gauge […] patent[s]” in the US and Europe.

Other chips released this week by the company include replacements for use in the following OEM toner and inkjet cartridges: HP’s M476, Dell’s C2660 and 2665, Epson’s WorkForce AL-M300, Kyocera’s TK-6305 and 6307, Ricoh’s Aficio SP 4100, and Xerox’s Phaser 3010, 3040 and 3045 cartridges.

In terms of other products, a replacement waste bin was launched for use in HP’s M125 and 127 MFP toner cartridges, which allows for “an easy conversion from the readily available” HP CB435A (P1505), CE285A (P1102) and CC388A (P1106) cartridges into the newer HP CF283A cartridge used in the two printers.

Static Control added that it “currently has more than 1,000 products in development”, and that companies “interested in hearing about the latest products” should contact a sales representative to be added to the company’s ‘New Product Release’ email, which is “sent out with each new release” to ensure “customers stay up-to-date with the latest innovations”.
