machine_filamentThe machine and filament gained CE and FCC standardisation.

The machine, the CoLiDo desktop 3D printer, was launched this month by Print-Rite along with ABS/PLA filament for use in 3D printing, with both products receiving certificates “as a recognition of professional standard[s]”. Print-Rite stated that it has “demonstrated its leading position […] in the aftermarket printer consumable[s] industry” by developing the machine.

The company added that the 3D printer “generates a high precision printout by using a proprietary design printhead”, with the machine said to be “extremely user-friendly” with “low noise and a competitive price”. It noted in turn that the machine was developed “in-house”, including the electronic board, firmware and printhead, and is equipped with a “coated glass print table which allows for easy removal of the printed object” after the print has finished.

The standards meet both the CE and FCC requirements, in addition to being endorsed by “an external testing laboratory”, with the CE standard confirming products “are free from toxic/hazardous materials”, and the FCC standard a US requirement “for sales to the US market”. The printer also passed the China National Quality Supervising Test for Consumables of Printing and Office Automation.

In turn, the PLA and ABS filament was developed alongside US experts, with Print-Rite noting that the filament is “the essence of the technology for precision output”, helping avoid “clogging of [the] nozzle”, and the filament also meets REACH standards in terms of being free from harmful or hazardous materials with “reproductive toxicity, carcinogenicity genotoxicity”.

The company stated: “During the first month of its launch, the CoLiDo Desktop 3D Printer has gained positive feedback and wide recognition in the market. Print-Rite respects R&D and innovation; there is an extensive road map for new models to meet known and expected customer demand.”
