Office-Products-AllianceOffice Products Alliance acquired Basic Business Products on 1 July.

Kansas City Business Journal reported on the acquisition of cartridge remanufacturer Basic Business Products by office products dealer Office Products Alliance (OPA), which makes OPA the “largest independent office products supplier in the Kansas City area”.

The acquisition, which went through on 1 July, follows earlier acquisitions of independent office product dealers over the past four years, including another company called Express Business Supply, and OPA did not “disclose a purchase price” for the Basic Business Products deal.

The company, based in Independence, was formally founded as OPA in 2013, and added that the deal expands both its “geographic reach” and product range, with remanufactured toner cartridges the main addition. Owner and President Mark Whitlow stated in turn that the company “offer[s] our partners everything they need to outfit their office, from pencils and pens to toner and files, as well as a full floor of furniture”.
