Eco Expo Asia 2014 will take place at the end of October in Hong Kong.
The show, organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) alongside Hong Kong’s Trade Development Council, is intended to “serve as a trading platform” for visitors to engage with “green enterprises and government officials”. The event is set to take place from 29 October until 1 November at AsiaWorld-Expo at Hong Kong’s International Airport, and will include a “theme day” to “address environmental issues”.
The “theme day” will attempt to discuss the “most challenging environmental issues across Asia”, with daily events and conferences featuring products and solutions that will “highlight” selected themes”. These include – for each day of the event – global green initiatives; waste management and recycling; green building, energy efficiency and energy; and green living.
Global green initiatives will see talks “tak[ing] the lead in guiding Asia towards a more environmentally friendly future”, before waste management and recycling tackles “one of the most urgent and critical issues” for the region. Green building, energy efficiency and energy will look at the “latest green building technologies and solutions”, whilst green living will be open to the general public as “education on environmental protection is crucial for environmental sustainability”.
Exhibitors at the event include industrial groups, research companies, technology developers and energy efficiency advisers, with government groups and agencies also attending from Hong Kong and beyond. More information about the event can be found at www.ecoexpoasia.com.
