The manufacturer has produced a toner for a range of Brother machines.

The new chemical colour toner is designed for use in the cartridges in Brother’s HL-3040 and 4040 printers, with Hubei stating that the toner “offers a true-to-OEM comparison in print quality, performance and yield”. Additionally, data sheets “outlining performance compared to OEM levels” are available from Hubei “upon request”, as they “further underline that this chemical toner offers an equal-to-OEM performance”.

Hubei also announced that there are several more Brother toners that it will release in late 2014 and early 2015, including: a toner for the HL-4150, due in late November; toners for the HL-3140 and 3170 in December; and a toner for the HL-8250 in 2Q2015. All of the toners will be sold in 10kg bags, with samples available “upon request and qualification”.

Ian Copsey, General Manager for Europe at Hubei Dinglong, commented: “It is an exciting time for us to be releasing a broad range of Brother material. The market is looking for real comparison to OEM print quality, and this chemical material can deliver that. Having seen print sets, I am confident this toner can open some new doors for remanufacturers and their customers to further grow their colour aftermarket penetration.”
