Series includes four new mono laser printers and six MFPs to increase efficiency and affordability.
Deccan Chronicle reported on Brother India’s release of 10 new laser printer and MFP products, as the OEM caters for “the changing needs of the customer”, with many customers now increasingly “cost-conscious and tech savvy”.
The products also come as Brother is looking to capture a share of 25 percent in India’s mono laser market by 2017.
Yoshiji Matsui, Managing Director of Brother International India, explained: “Brother India is expected to grow to a maximum within the entire Asia-Pacific region. To achieve this we have been constantly working on our distribution network to ensure smooth availability of our products. We have invested heavily on manpower by adding sales forces. We complimented the above initiatives by brand-building activities like outdoor ads/ in-shop branding, which are aimed at enabling visibility in the market.”
The new series consists of the HL-1201, HL-1211W, HL-L2321D, andHL-L2361DN mono laser printers, as well as the DCP-1601, DCP-1616NW, MFC-1911NW, DCP-L2541DW, MFC-L2701DandMFC-L2701DW MFPs, with the products designed to meet the needs of SOHOs and SMBs and described as “compact enough for any business environment” yet able to “provide a full range of networking and workgroup features”.
Alok Nigam, General Manager, Sales & Service & Marketing, at Brother International India, said: “[The] growing trend of SOHO, rise in SMBs and start-ups have changed [the] printer industry ecosystem in India in the past few years. The products range in price from Rs 5,200 ($84/€68) for the HL-1201 printer to Rs 19,990 ($325/€261) for the MFC-L2701DW, “inclusive of the prevailing taxes”, and include a one-year warranty.
