The company has produced X Generation toners and components for Dell, Lexmark and Brother.
The first launch is X Generation black toner and components for use in Dell’s B5460 and 5465 monochrome printers, with Uninet noting that the former is “currently Dell’s fastest monochrome laser printer” with speeds of 63ppm and a first page print in 4.4 seconds. The machine is “truly impressive” and features “separate toner and drum cartridges” alongside a recommended monthly print of 30,000 pages.
The cartridges are available in three versions, with yields of 6,000, 25,000 and 45,000 pages, and the drum cartridge featuring a yield of 100,000 pages. Uninet notes that the cartridge is “potentially […] very profitable, because it is considered easy to remanufacture”, as only the toner and smartchips need to be replaced. The company also offers a “complete remanufacturing solution” for the cartridge.
The second launch is X Generation colour toner and components for use in Lexmark’s C/X748 and X746 colour printers, which are the OEM’s “mid-speed colour laser printers targeted for mid-size workgroups and business colour applications”. The C748 and X784MFP also feature “the same basic specifications” of 35ppm print speeds and a resolution of 1200 x 1200dpi, “instant warm-up fusers and duplexing”, while the X748 MFP features a hard drive a standard, though this is “also an option” in the C748.
Uninet noted that the toner cartridges in both machines “use different chips for the two printer models”, and “are not interchangeable”, though the drum cartridge “is the same for both machines”.
Finally, the last launch is X Generation colour toner and components for use in Brother’s HL-L8350, 8250 and MFC-8600 colour printers. The first machine is a “recent release” and Brother’s “fastest colour laser printer yet”, with speeds of 32ppm and a resolution of 2400 x 600dpi, alongside duplexing.
The cartridges come in standard (TN331) and high-capacity (TN336) versions, with yields for the former of 2,500 pages in black and 1,500 pages in colour; and 4,000 pages in black and 3,500 pages in colour for the latter. Additionally, the separate drum cartridge (DR331) has a yield of 25,000 pages, and Uninet adds it offers a “complete remanufacturing solution” for these cartridges.
