UK market grows nine percent year-on-year and is expected to grow 76 percent between 2012 and 2017.
In a sponsored article on Channel Pro, Brother UK outlines the opportunities provided by business inkjet technology for resellers and SMEs, noting that the forecasted 76 percent growth in the UK’s market by 2017 will mean that “resellers will have a great opportunity to grow their own business”.
Business inkjet devices, according to the article, provide businesses with “improved running costs, print speeds and print quality”, with most having “advanced connectivity options [to] make them compatible with mobiles and tablets”. They also provide users with “affordable A3 print options and improved total cost of ownership (TCO)”, benefitting growing businesses in particular. The Recycler reported this week on Brother’s release of two new business inkjet MFPs – the MFC-J5320DW and MFC-J5720DW – both of which are designed to reduce ink consumption and TCO.
Commenting on the technology, Stuart Mabe, Product Manager at Brother UK, said: “As the number one brand in A3 ink, we’re trusted by businesses to provide high quality, reliable printers that deliver the features they need.
“The business inkjet market is growing rapidly, with over three million units sold last year. Businesses increasingly look for great value machines with a strong feature set that helps to support today’s agile workforces. Our new ranges will give resellers a compelling proposition to help them capitalise on this opportunity.”
The article also emphasises the importance of technology in general for making SMEs in the UK more competitive, with a recent Regional Attitudes to Growth and Competitiveness report finding that 57 percent of SMEs in the UK see technology as “the key driver of their region’s competitiveness”.
Phil Jones, Managing Director of Brother UK, commented: “With these growing numbers of SMEs adopting new business practices designed to boost flexibility and agility, and with growing awareness of how new technologies can underpin, support and enable this type of agile approach, small businesses look set to achieve big things in the year ahead.
“We believe that every UK business should have the opportunity and appetite to compete on a level playing field. It is crucial that businesses have the confidence to invest in their futures.
“Many firms already recognise that technology can help make them more agile and efficient and they have taken steps to equip themselves for growth. At Brother, we are determined to increase awareness of how technology can underpin and enable the kind of agile approach that is paying off for so many SMEs.”
