MKIC reorganises as over 26 staff leave

Dec 2, 2014

MKIC_office webThomas Spicker, Manny Matamoros and 26 other staff leave MKIC, as it makes changes in the global and North American operations.

The changes saw Thomas Spicker, Vice President of Sales, and Manny Matamoros, International Sales Director for South America, exit the company, along with six staff at its Virginia facility and 20 more at its Mexico facility.

The Recycler understands that MKIC is reorganising its global and North American operations, and made the changes so that MKIC could remain competitive in the market. In September 2013 MKIC/Future Graphics relocated its sales and administration headquarters to Glendale, California following the recent opening of a 16,000 square metre warehousing facility in Tijuana, Mexico.

Spicker joined MKIC in 2004 and developed a direct sales model to dealers and distributors in Europe from the company’s factory headquarters in Chesapeake, Virginia. Following MKIC’s acquisition of Future Graphics in California, he became the International Vice President, responsible for all sales to China, Asia, Europe, Canada and Latin America, and in January 2014 took responsibility for the North-American market.

Matamoros is a 20-year veteran at MKIC/Future Graphics, and was the International Sales Director for Latin America, responsible for all sales activities in Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

MKIC is part of the Mitsubishi Chemicals group, and manufactures toners and OPCs for the OEM and aftermarket, and through its MKIC/Future Graphics brand supplies remanufacturers with a range of components. When contacted by The Recycler, no-one was available to comment.
