The PrintSmart Mobile Zone and Mobile offerings are aimed at businesses across Europe.
In a press release, the OEM revealed that it had teamed up with PrinterOn, the “world’s leading provider of secure mobile printing”, to develop the “smart and simple” PrintSmart Mobile Zone and PrintSmart Mobile services for six European markets – France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Nordics and the UK.
The Mobile Zone is an offering “designed for businesses who want to offer on-the-go printing as a service to their customers”, with “hotels, libraries and airports” among those that it aims to help “embrace the growing demands from customers for simple and secure mobile services”. Mobile meanwhile has been designed for SMBs that “want to make mobile printing simple for their employees and easy to control and manage by IT staff” with mobile devices able to print to any printer “wirelessly and securely”.
The two solutions allow users to “print by email, web upload, mobile app” or PrintWhere driver (for Windows devices), with the app available through iOS, Android and Blackberry, and both solutions are cloud-based, meaning they “do not require any onsite software”, as well as being compatible with the OEM’s latest Business Colour Laser and Business Mono Laser printer ranges.
Chris Marshall, Commercial Director for Brother Europe, commented: “We are bringing two new mobile print solutions to market, which are designed to make printing from a variety of mobile devices straightforward, as well as providing the ability to offer mobile print facilities as a public service using our high-quality laser printers.
“From an IT department perspective, it means a straightforward solution for mobile print – without wasted time spent configuring complicated software and installing multiple drivers. There is a clear appetite for a user-friendly solution that makes printing from a smartphone, tablet or laptop simple and easy for people to access – whether that be at work or while out and about.”
