Tech Data will distribute the full range of the OEM’s MFPs, including its high-end A3 devices.
Under the new arrangement, reported by PCR Online, Tech Data is also looking to enlist MPS providers to HP’s focused partner programme. The logistics company can now re-sell all of HP’s A4 devices, such as the HP LaserJet Enterprise M525dn, as well as top-of-the-range A3 models such as the HP LaserJet Enterprise Color MFP M880 series.
Tech Data’s Director of Product Marketing, Mark Glasspool, said: “We’re excited to be offering the complete range of HP LaserJet MFPs. It means that HP partners can now come to Tech Data for all multifunction products and we see bright prospects, both in the wider enterprise market and in the growing managed print services sector.
“We’ll be working with HP to demonstrate the benefits of its solutions and engaging with partners to maximise their potential. We have some specific goals and between now and the end of 2015 we will be actively seeking out and talking to new prospective HP partners.”
The partnership comes after news of a two percent growth in laser MFP shipments across EMEA for Q4 2014. The growth was apparently driven by a 13 per cent increase in Western Europe.
