HP’s LaserJet Enterprise M806dn
The laser printer parts manufacturer’s patent-pending technology “extends the life” of two HP fusers.
The technology not only extends “the life of the fusers” but also “maximises consumables”, and is designed for use with the HP M806 and M830 fusers. Metrofuser stated that the Flash-IT technology “has the potential to save service companies thousands”, as the LaserJet machines the fusers are used in “are programmed to generate an error message reading ‘REPLACE FUSER’ when the page count hits 200,000 pages”.
In turn, “the only way to remove that message and restore the lifecycle, up to now, has been to purchase a costly new fuser”. With the Flash-It Tool, Metrofuser can “set the fuser life to 100 percent and clear the ‘REPLACE FUSER’ message”, which will “allow the printer to continue to utilise the existing fuser far beyond the 200,000 pages”.
The company predicts that the tool will “save companies thousands of dollars in consumables and service calls”, and that it will “become an essential tool for dealers and service companies who have multiple devices in MPS environments”. The tool works with the LaserJet Enterprise M806dn and flow MFP M830 machines, which use the CZ244A and CF367A cartridges respectively.
