Cartridge store employee loses life in Philippines

Sunstar reported on Bonghanoy’s passing at Romeo V. Austria Trading’s offices in Cagayan De Oro on 28 May, where Bonghanoy was the branch manager at the store in the Filipino city. Bonghanoy was 33 years old, and was shot by an unknown assailant in his office in the presence of a number of colleagues.

Bonghanoy came from Mahayag town in Zamboanga del Sur in the country, and police stated that the motive for his killing “remain[s] unclear” at this time, with the suspect “at-large”. The three colleagues who witnessed his death were interviewed by investigators to help “figure out the motive of the incident”, though investigators added that he may have been “targeted”.

The company distributes and imports remanufacturer toner and inkjet cartridges, as well as printer parts and technical services, and notes that it is a “one-stop-shop” for imaging supplies.
