The mailroom equipment supplier and franking cartridge remanufacturer is now the prime worldwide distributor of MAAG Mecrure automatic envelope sealing products.

The “significant deal” between the two companies will see Totalpost distribute MAAG Mercure’s automatic envelope sealing products worldwide, with the products “specialist mail finishing devices that are designed for a wide range of volumes and envelope types”. MAAG Mercure are referred to by Totalpost as “the world’s leading manufacturer of high quality mail sealing equipment”, with their devices said to be “highly robust” and “designed for ease of use with long-lasting rugged construction”.

There are a range of sealing machines that Totalpost will distribute, which are “designed for high-speed sealing”, and such machines are “widely-used in business areas”, allowing envelopes to “be sealed efficiently”. Totalpost’s distribution agreement includes “specialist status” in France, South Africa, the USA, Canada and India, where MAAG Mercure has “operating businesses”, while existing dealers will now purchase machines from Totalpost.

David Hymers, Managing Director at Totalpost, stated: “We have a long history of working with MAAG Mercure (formerly Maag Bros.), and have always favoured their envelope sealing technology as their quality is second to none. MAAG Mercure has become aware of our worldwide market reach and our status as a known specialist supplier of mailroom equipment across many international markets.

“This range of equipment fits very well with Totalpost’s wider portfolio, which includes customised mailroom automation, insertion products and specialised mail security screening.”

Hans E. Maag, Managing Director at MAAG Mercure, commented: “Working with Totalpost gives us a significant opportunity to reach worldwide markets, particularly in the mailroom sector. We look forward to developing this working relationship going forward.”
