The company stated that the new models for imageRUNNER ADVANCE machines are “IP safe”.

The new bottle cartridges are compatible consumables for use in the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C4030 and 2280 printers, with Print-Rite stating that the cartridges have been developed with “the patented nozzle design on its separate coupling design and single-function sealing feature”. This allows the company to “avoid any patent accusations” stemming from the USITC case involving toner cartridges.

Print-Rite added that the bottles were developed “thanks to our dedication to innovation and commitment to R&D”, and allow customers to “carry on your business as usual and free from any patent hassle […] we are here to provide you patent-safe solutions for your business”. Philip So, the company’s Head of R&D, added that “our team has also worked hard on the bottle design and its locking mechanism. Those innovative designs have also gained a patent recognition”.
