The OEM has launched the MultiXpress 7 MFP, which was previously released in the UK market.
BusinessWire reported on the launch from Samsung Electronics America of the MultiXpress 7 (MX7) MFP in the US market, with the OEM stating that the printer “transforms enterprises with speed, connectivity and convergence”. The printer is said to deliver “fast print and faster scan speeds with the smart user experience of a Samsung phone or tablet”, and was released in the UK in February earlier this year.
The machine, available now, is said to take “a major step towards addressing enterprise demand for stronger office convergence”, offering “exceptionally fast” printing and scanning speeds that aim to help businesses “build smarter, more efficient offices with easier connectivity”. The A3 MFP is “the only A3 MFP on the market” powered by a Quadcore CPU, which allows it to “power through documents, faxes and scans with ease and speed”, while the new Smart UX 2.0 allows users to “preview and edit files directly from the printer before printing”.
It has a print speed of 60ppm, a boot-up speed of 18 seconds, 1,200dpi printing, a first-page-print of three seconds for monochrome and 4.5 seconds for colour, and Bluetooth and wireless connectivity. Other features include a “significant reduction in scan time”, including 120 single-sided images per minute and 240 double-sided images per minute, a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, and the ability to download apps from Samsung’s printer app store through the device.
In terms of prints, the machine can print up to 300,000 pages per month, with optional toner cartridges offering 30,000 pages in colour and 45,000 pages in monochrome. It is also available in colour and monochrome models, has a 10.1-inch colour touchscreen, a paper capacity of 6,140 sheets and finishing options, alongside the Smart Printer Diagnostic System (SPDS) app, which The Recycler recently reported on.
