PrintThe company’s team, DCI Dragons, will take part in the Dragon Boat Race in Boston, UK, to raise money for charity.

The team is aiming to take part in the annual race, on the River Witham in Lincolnshire, to raise funds for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust, with the race taking place on 16 August in Witham Country Park. DCI stated that the team is “made up of both DCI and Jet Tec staff” who will be “put through their paces, racing against other local companies in three heats set to determine the overall fastest winner”.

The race has been a “longstanding event in the town” that has always supported local and national charities, with DCI participating previously. The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust was set up in 1991, and “began with the aim of providing an air ambulance service” for Lincolnshire before extending to Nottinghamshire. The helicopters have flown over 16,000 missions in the last 21 years, employing 26 staff and currently being funded by donations and the government.

DCI commented: “We are looking forward to taking part in what is now a well-established fundraising event in the town, and we felt it important to support a charity that operated in Lincolnshire too. We took part a few years ago so our team know that there’s a lot of hard work involved, but we’re hoping that we can be successful as a crew and raise funds for charity in the process.”
