Swart’s appointment, effective from 3 August, will see him become Key Account Manager for Johannesburg (Greater Gauteng Region), and CMYK stated that with his appointment it “hopes to establish a long-term partnership between our clients and their customers in this area”. Swart has been in the cartridge industry for over 13 years, and his appointment forms “part of [CMYK’s] expansion plans”.

The company added that Swart’s hiring will mean it can “make available the high quality range of its imaging products” – including ribbons, inks, inkjet printer cartridges, laser printer cartridges, black and colour toners, OPCs, rollers and chips – to “the demanding customer’s aftermarket consumable use in South Africa”.

Swart stated: “My previous role of Inventory Manager, which I held for the last nine years, saw me gain experience in all aspects of supply chain management as well as both local and international procurement. The opportunities at CMYK Industries are unlimited, as I feel that I can gain invaluable experience within the company and grow with it as it expands not only locally but internationally too.

“It is a dynamic company that has the ability to become one of the market leaders on a global stage, and I want to be part of its exciting journey.”

Patrick Naude, CEO of CMYK Industries, added: “I am very happy that Riaan has joined us, and he will grow CMYK’s presence within the South African market by expanding the greater Gauteng region through developing personal relationships with customers to secure new accounts and contracts.”

CMYK Industries was recently appointed as Uninet’s distribution partner for South Africa, and also announced that it had made Electrographics Services its distributor in India.
