The imaging consumibles company’s products were detained for infringing a previous General Exclusion Order (GEO) awarded to HP.
The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) issued a ‘seizure and forefeiture order’ regarding “certain inkjet cartridges with printheads” imported by Easy Group.
Easy Group had “attempted to import the articles into the United States”, which the customs bureau refused, issuing a “written notice” of the GEO and a warning that “seizure and forfeiture would result from any further attempt to import the articles into the United States”.
