New research predicts the sector will grow by 15.49 percent by 2019.japan

The market data, from Research and Markets’ Managed Print Services (MPS) Market in Japan 2015-2019 report, predicts a “shift toward additional services” including business processes and IT provision alongside a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.49 percent from 2014 to 2019. The analysts noted that “MPS is quite new in Japan”, which might help the market continue the rate of growth predicted.

The report also highlights that while “printing technology is very old”, the youth of the MPS market in Japan will mean “higher management” will “not know the proper use of MPS solutions”, which could also result in “more investment in the printing environment and an increase in the overall operational cost”. Providers can help inform on the “advantages of using MPS”, including “better transparency and communication with employees”.

Among the key OEMs offering MPS in Japan highlighted by Research and Markets are Canon, Fuji Xerox, Konica Minolta and Ricoh, while other “prominent vendors” include Epson, HP, Kyocera, Lexmark, OKI, Pitney Bowes, PrinterCorp, Sharp and Toshiba.
