Xerox acquires US MPS group

Capital Business SystemsPennsylvania-based Capital Business Systems, a specialist in business services and document management, has been purchased by the OEM’s company, Global Imaging Systems (GIS).

GIS is made of “regional core companies” in the USA that sell document management systems including printers, copiers and MFPs, according to the company website. Xerox acquired the group in 2007.

Michael Pietrunti, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions, Corporate Services and Marketing at GIS, said: “We continue to grow our presence across the US with leading office equipment companies that provide quality services to customers. The addition of successful companies – like Capital Business Systems – continues to bolster our network of locally-based companies.”

Steven Shirk, President of Capital Business Systems, commented: “The new partnership with GIS and Xerox expands our offerings, providing our customers with an increased portfolio of solutions to meet their needs.
