A photocopier described by its owner as “pure evil, born of the devil himself” has been dropped from an 107-foot crane, as part of an annual event in Phoenix, Arizona, in the USA.
The offending device that allegedly “carries the model number Satan D-666” was chosen by ProCopy Office Solutions after its yearly invite to the local community to write in and “share why they own the worst copier in Arizona”, The Imaging Channel reported.
The chosen copier is “ceremoniously dropped” from the crane at the ProCopy customer appreciate tailgate party and is broadcast live on local NBC Sports Radio 1060. Liz Johnson of Norman S. Wright Co. owned the copier, describing it at the drop event as “the worst copier in the world; it makes the darkest copies – they come out looking like creatures of the underworld”.
Mike McGuirk, President of ProCopy, said Johnson’s entry was “by far the best” and that she “totally captured the spirit of what we were looking for”. You can view a video of the destruction below.
