The X Generation colour toner formula and components are for use in a wide range of Brother’s HL, MFC and DCP machines, while the HP conversion kits are designed for the Enterprise 600 M630 machine.
Uninet described the new Brother HL-L8350 colour device as a “minor upgrade” from the older HL-L8250 printer model, with the speed increasing from 30ppm to 32ppm, with wireless capability also added.
Both printers use the same TN331 standard yield toner cartridges, with a 2,500-page yield for black and 1,500 pages for colour; the TN336 high-yield cartridges, with 4,000 pages for black and 3,500 pages for colour; and the DR331 drum cartridge, which has a yield of 25,000 pages.
The components supplier has also unveiled a toner cartridge conversion kit for the new HP Enterprise 600 M630, comprised of an end cap and jumbo hopper. The M603 cartridge is based on the older design of the HP P4015/4515 (CC364A/X) and HP M4555 (CE390A/X) cartridges, and Uninet said that “by using these readily available and less expensive empties you are able to ‘convert’ them into a HP M603 cartridge using the UniNet end cap conversion kit”.
A low yield ‘A’ or a high yield ‘X’ cartridge can be converted using the jumbo waste hopper conversion kit and jumbo toner hopper, allowing remanufacturers to “enter the M603 market earlier with a proven HP P4015/4515 based solution”.
