Epson appoints UK Managing Director

Dec 8, 2015

Rob ClarkRob Clark becomes responsible for driving the OEM’s growth plans in the UK and leading sales there, promising a focus on capitalising on the business inkjet printing market.

He will continue in his role as Vice President for Epson Europe, managing the OEM’s European business strategy. Clark said that across the continent there are plans to increase the workforce by 10 percent, as the company shifts its focus from consumer to business markets, Dealer Support reported.

The appointment comes after Epson revealed recently that it would be investing €50 million ($54.2 million) over the next two years. Central to this drive for growth are the WorkForce business devices that feature the Replaceable Ink Pack System (RIPS), which it believes are well-positioned to capitalise on the transition from laser to business inkjet in SMEs.

Clark has been with the company for over 20 years, and started out as a Product Manager for dot-matrix printers before spending five years as Director of the inkjet business for Epson Europe. He replaces Tony Petford, who has been appointed as Vice President for CISMEA (Russia & associated territories, Middle East and Africa), where Petford will establish a mainly UK-based team to serve key management structures in CISMEA.
