Director Chris Fink stated that it was “fantastic” to be recognised for the company’s work in cartridge remanufacturing.
The remanufacturer bagged the award in the Circular Economy category in the annual Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland (VIBES) awards, which The Recycler reported on in early December. 27 Scottish businesses were shortlisted across eight categories, for a set of awards that celebrate businesses that contribute to the country’s sustainable development, Motherwell Times reported.
The awards are aimed at encouraging efficient use of resources and business competitiveness, with the winners chosen after a programme of site visits assessing the environmental practices of each finalist. The VIBES Awards are a strategic partnership between Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish Government, Scottish Water, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Zero Waste Scotland, Energy Saving Trust and the 20:20 Climate Group.
Fink told Dealer Support: “It’s fantastic to be presented with this prestigious VIBES Commendation Award, recognising our commitment to continually reviewing and enhancing our environmental performance throughout every aspect of our business.
“Tinto has a proven record of innovation and transformation, which has enabled us to create strategies that are highly valued by our clients and partners both in the UK and throughout Europe. With the implementation of a closed loop remanufacturing and recycling process, we are more than able to provide our customers with the solutions and service they need and deserve.”
