Canon launches four new PIXMA devices

The OEM’s new printers feature “an emphasis on connectivity and creativity”, as well as a range of shared functions.

ePhotozine reported on the launches, with the devices including the “entry-level” PIXMA TS5050, the “mid-range” TS6050, the TS8050 and the “top-of-the-range” TS9050, which are all said to be “up to 40 percent more compact than the last PIXMA printers”. All four printers have wireless connectivity, compatibility with the Canon Print mobile app, and a ‘Touch and Print’ feature for easy connection and printing.

All bar the TS5050 machine have LCD touchscreens for access to the PIXMA Cloud Link function, which “connects to your favourite cloud services” so that users can “quickly print a photo or upload a document to read on the go”. All four machines are AIOs and feature SD card connectivity, while the TS8050 and TS9050 feature near-field communication (NFC) technology.

The printers will be available from October in the UK, with prices of £119.99 ($160.34/€142.64) for the TS5050; £159.99 ($213.80/€190.19) for the TS6050; £199.99 ($267.25/€237.75) for the TS8050; and £279.99 ($374.16/€332.85) for the TS9050.
