The OEM will show its wide-format printers and other products at the SGIA Expo.
The first machine mentioned in the press release is the Ricoh Pro L4160 is a latex wide-format colour printer for “brilliant signs, banners, wall coverings, indoor and outdoor advertising, point-of-sale displays and more” and prints up to 63 inches wide. It is eco-friendly and uses aqueous latex ink in seven colours, printing with a fast turnaround and on many substrates such as “plastic, vinyl, textile and backlit media”.
The Mimaki flatbed printer is a wide-format which uses abrasion-resistant UV inks that are durable for indoor or outdoor conditions ,and can handle substrates of 1.97-inch thickness. There is an energy saving UV-LED curing unit that saves energy and costs. Services featured include the G7 Master Printer Qualification Services, Ricoh’s G7 Expert.
Another device is the MP CW2201SP, the latest colour wide-format device for “architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) firms” to “transform and manage information quickly and simply”. It makes “sharing wide-format technical drawings, schematics, presentations and other information easier” and has an improved user interface.
Ricoh’s next-generation Smart Operation Panel and PrintCopy Tool were also launched to make printing AEC wide-format jobs more “efficient by enabling document-batching and automatic best-device output selection” as well as “reprinting previous print data without the need to manually input the same information again”. Lastly, the ONYX Thrive is a “scalable workflow software based on Adobe PDF Print Engine technology”, providing “PDF workflows, from digital file submission through printing and cutting”, and its “automation capabilities” save time.
