For the fifth consecutive year the OEM has been named to Dow Jones Sustainability World Index.
This is in recognition of the company’s “environmental, economic and social performance”, reported MarketWatch. The company also received a “high score in materiality”, which is a new category in the economic sector, and for the third year received a high score in the environmental sector, which includes “environmental policy, management system and information disclosure”.
Konica Minolta was one of the first companies to develop a “long term environmental plan” and called it Eco Vision 2050. The goal of the company is to “reduce CO2 emissions through a products life cycle by 80 percent by 2050”.
