MFPs the choice for mobility

An article discusses why MFPs are a useful device for the mobile business world.

mfpwhilst sustaining a low carbon footprint and “cutting operational costs” and maintaining security, while also attaining “flexibility and mobility” for employees.

More and more people are working outside the office, either from home or mobile, but remain “connected” says Marc Pillay, CEO at Develop South Africa, which is why the office and technology sector are developing MFPs that can support the “document managing needs” of all businesses. Printing from mobile devices is “often easier” than from a computer, without the need to download “external apps” or “install a specific printer driver”, and the security features ensure data protection with “secure print, user authentication, and account tracking”.

Pillay wrote that “people want to feel like the devices they use are a true part of their business”, and that “features like user interface customisation on the screen and access to business relevant apps straight from the operating panel certainly respond to this need”. MFPs are easy to incorporate into “existing networks” and help enhance “document workflows”, and increase fleet management efficiency.

It benefits companies to have recycling and zero waste policies, as businesses now have a responsibility to promoting “green efficiency”, which is why the industry provides solutions in their MFPs and printers. Altogether MFPs can save “staff time and effort”, and ultimately save the business money.
