The OEM’s subsidiary has launched “high-volume” digital colour MFPs for “enhanced customisation and productivity”.
In a press release, the OEM stated that the new machines will enable users “to simplify everyday document management tasks and move information quickly and accurately”. The new devices include the MP C6503 and C8003 machines, which are able to boost “productivity for high-volume environments” as well as offer “enhanced usability”, and both feature speeds of up to 65ppm and 80ppm in “vibrant colour or sharp black-and-white”.
Ricoh USA added that the ranges are intended to be “high-speed solutions for larger office workgroups”, and feature the OEM’s latest Smart Operation Panel technology for “better collaboration across all types of locations and work styles”. The printers also feature the OEM’s Workstyle Innovation Technology, which it calls the “next generation of office automation” and which helps to “streamline the flow of information throughout organisations”.
The technology utilises the Smart Operation Panel, which is 10.1 inches in size, and allows it to operate “like a tablet or personal mobile device”, with “a new user interface, customisable menus and one-touch shortcuts that allow users to work quicker and smarter”. The printers feature 1,200 x 4,800dpi resolution, three-inch full bleed prints and “a variety of finishing options that make this series ideal for reproducing high-quality professional-looking output in-house”.
The two machines are said to be able to “accomplish much while demanding little energy”, with ENERGY STAR certification given due to an “integrated motion sensor, which detects approaching users and activates key control panel operations”, while the machines also include Ricoh’s Smart Device Connector app for “seamless integration with mobile devices”.
Both printers can support media weights of up to 300gsm and paper sizes up to 13 x 19.2 inches, and have a paper capacity of 8,100 sheets alongside a Document Server for the ability to “access critical information more quickly and securely”.
John Brophy, Vice President of Product Marketing at Ricoh USA, commented; “Today, businesses need technology to be more intelligent and must be assured it can sustain high-volume work environments. The need for accuracy extends beyond getting data points right. It means making sure marketing collateral and other high-resolution documents get to your team with as much precision and vibrancy of the original vision.
“The Ricoh MP C6503 and RICOH MP C8003 preserve and drive that kind of image quality, while leveraging its Smart Operation Panel to make the act of sharing and collaborating more productive and intuitive.”
