The former Cartridge World store, Blueprint and Office Supplies, is now focusing more on printing.
LaGRANGE News reported that the store in Ohio has gone from focussing on “selling recycled ink and toner cartridges” to a broader aspect involving printing. Rob Ellis, who owns the store, changed its name in 2011 to represent its new direction.
Ellis explained: “I’ve always had an interest in having a print store. When I was in partnership with some people in Columbus for a while, the store was initially called Cartridge World. I later wanted to shift the narrow focus from selling just ink and toner to more of a focus in printing.”
The new business still sells ink and toner but now offers more services such as printer repairs and delivery as well as designing banners but the main core of the business is now directed towards architects and engineers and printing wide formats in colour for construction contractors.
Ellis commented that: “The customers that come in the most are construction contractors. The business concept we like to follow is providing a very quick delivery. When a construction contractor comes in and tells us what they need done, our job is to create a drawing that is high-quality and large. The drawings need to be big enough so workers can see it well and the ink can’t be smeared. We want to supply immediate fulfilment for the construction project there working on.”
Stressing the importance of “getting the right description and outline for a project correct” Ellis said: “It’s urgent that the construction people get accurate drawings. They work from these drawings. The construction contractors depend on us for service they absolutely need.”
Commenting on the business competition in the locality Ellis said: “There is a print place in Columbus and one in Newnan that do similar things that we do but we are very convenient. We’re local, quick, we can deliver and we’re here for the customers if they need us.”
