Ricoh’s MP 401SPF
The company has launched inkjet ink, toner and components, smartchips and MICR toner for use in remanufacturing applications.
The first launch was Absolute Colour ink for use in the Epson Stylus Pro 76000 wide-format printer series, with Uninet stating that the machine is a 24-inch “photographic” wide-format “incorporating a new advanced Micro Piezo printhead technology”, alongside 2,880dpi resolution and a seven-colour UltraChrome ink system. The device is said to feature “high media versatility” and “exceptional professional photographic output”, Uninet added.
The company’s inks are said meanwhile to “deliver exceptional and high quality performance”, with the UltraChrome pigmented inks offering “incomparable colour and improved lightfastness properties over typical dye-based ink systems”. This, it says, means that “printed output will not fade over time, and can be archived for longer periods of time”, including “up to 75 year[s] indoor”.
The second launch was Absolute Black toner and components for Ricoh’s SP 4520, 4510, 3610, 3600 and MP 401 SF monochrome MFPs, with Uninet noting that the devices feature print speeds of 42ppm and are “targeted for small workgroups [and] offices”, with a resolution of 1,200dpi, duplexing and encryption. The machines also use an all-in-one toner cartridge rated at 10,400 pages, and Uninet “offers a complete product solution to serve the needs of remanufacturers of these cartridges”.
Another Absolute Black launch was toner and components for HP Inc’s LaserJet Pro M102, 104 MFP and M130 and 132 monochrome MFPs, the OEM’s “newest low-end monochrome printers and MFPs” with speeds of 23ppm and a cost of $120 (€112) for the single-function and $220 (€206) for the MFP. The toner and drums “follow” the JetIntelligence technology’s design of a “separate cartridge and drum” unit, with the cartridge rated at 1,600 pages and the drum unit at 12,000 pages.
Uninet added again that it “offers a complete product solution to serve the needs of remanufacturers of these cartridges”, and pointed out that “remanufacturing instructions are also offered, which include an updated HP printing theory”. Its fourth release was ASiC smartchips for use in the Samsung Xpress, ProXpress and MultiXpress colour printer and MFP series, with Uninet noting that its smartchips are “an award-winning product” that “services the needs for both the laser and copier markets”.
Features include a “zero defect rate, true OEM cutting-edge technology, RoHS compliance and stealthware protection”, while the printers the chips are designed for use in include the ProXpress C2620 MFP and the Xpress C410W and 410FW, with the former featuring cartridges with yields of 6,000 pages in black and 3,500 pages in colour, and the latter two of 1,500 pages in black and 1,000 pages in colour.
Finally, the company has also released Absolute Black MICR toner for use in the HP Inc LaserJet Enterprise 700 M712 monochrome printer, which features a print speed of 40ppm, and Uninet’s MICR toner is said to offer “stable signal strength readings and good fusing properties over the life of the cartridge”, adding that the printer “is suited to be used for specialty MICR check printing applications by using special MICR toners”, with the toners “qualified” and meeting “ANSI, ABA and CBA specifications when matched with a compatible drum”.
