The remanufacturer held a company fundraiser over the Christmas holidays to raise money for Breast Cancer Angels.
The company stated that each year its office unites for the company’s LD Gives Back, which is to help a local family in need over the holidays. However this year the company was fundraising for Breast Cancer Angels, which is a non-profit organisation that helps women having treatment for breast cancer.
The support of the Los Alamitos-based charity includes “food, housing assistance, clothing, medical costs, home health care expenses and legal guidance”. Over 600 families in Southern California are helped by LD Products every year, and 100 percent of donations “go directly to those seeking assistance”.
At present LD Products is sponsoring a family from Long Beach of six children whose mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and all the money raised went towards the Christmas wishes of the family and covered the holiday expenses; and the local theatre also donated theatre tickets for the performance of The Nutcracker.
Staff can :also show their support: by donating to one of the LD donation droplets that are :proudly on display in the breakroom”, the company added, or “toss any spare change in our Keep the Change jar”. Employees hosted many fundraising days before the holidays like cake mornings for donations, as well as asking other local businesses to donate some of their profits to the cause.
LD Products concluded that fundraising and raffles go on all year round, and are a team effort bringing the entire company together for the cause.
