Digital Imaging reported on the event and the exhibitors attending from across the industry.
The magazine’s report (German) noted that the event “increased” in terms of European remanufacturers, with Turbon and Embatex returning alongside Armor, the article noting that the “two hardcopy heavyweights” were back on “the Frankfurt floor”. It noted also that Turbon and Embatex “primarily” aimed to “place the IBM brand more in focus”, while UK remanufacturer DCi, supplier Delacamp and OEM distributor Imcopex all utilised the business lounges.
Digital Imaging also reported that “the resonance of the exhibitors was similar to the past years: much praise for the high quality especially [of] the international trade visitors, dissatisfaction with the low resonance on the part of the German specialist trade”, while visitor volume “hardly differed from the previous years”, with “the strongest day was again the [first] day of the trade fair”.
The site’s view on Hall 6.0 was that “the former location in Hall 3.1 was real luxury”, and that the new site “does not really spoil a lot of charm”, and it added that “it was striking that this year, the traditional customs raid against counterfeit toner and inks in the Remanexpo area failed: Obviously, the Chinese exhibitors, who have been settling the rear area in Hall 6.0 for years, did their homework”.
Finally, the site noted that both the REMCON seminar programme and The Recycler Awards were “again well attended”, with wta Carsten Weser “able to defend” its title as ‘Remanufacturer of the Year’.
