Apex launches replacement Canon chips

Feb 14, 2017

The company launched replacement chips for the OEM’s imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 series.

Apex stated that the printer is a “professional photographic inkjet printer” launched last year in the North American, European, Australian and Japanese markets, and which features an “11-colour plus Chroma Optimiser ink system” for “incredibly accurate colour reproduction, outstanding image clarity, and enhanced detail in dark areas” to “distinguish each print”.

The machine’s “wide printhead expands the printing area by 50 percent”, it adds, and print speeds are “drastically improved”, with Apex’s chips featuring ASIC designs for “multi-region universal” use, while “both one-time and CISS solutions are available”. The “first-to-market” chips are all aimed for global release, with volumes of 80ml, and include replacements for the: black; matte black; photo black; cyan; photo cyan; magenta; photo magenta; yellow; grey; photo grey; and blue inkjets.
