The OEM has been awarded a place on the Crown Commercial Service Framework Agreement.
In a press release, Lexmark stated that it was awarded a place on the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) agreement’s RM3781 Lot 3, for “managed print and content management services”. The UK framework “offers public sector and central government customer solutions for printer/copier, managed print and records information management services”.
The place was “awarded in partnership” with procurement organisation YPO and the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO), and “enables Lexmark to deliver a fully-outsourced service focused on supporting centralising, securitising and standardising office outputs in the UK”. Lexmark added that the framework “has been developed with the objective of meeting the increased customer demand for digital solutions and to provide organisations with the tools to not only increase efficiency but also to realise cost savings”.
Lexmark’s role will be to “deliver customers with the capability to digitise workflows and cut carbon footprints”, and “through the optimisation of a more flexible print strategy, customers will have the opportunity to discover more efficient approaches to the entire printing operation across their organisation”.
In turn, the framework “has been designed with the intention of becoming the principal procurement agreement across the public sector, including central and local government, police authorities, NHS bodies and universities”.
Danny Molhoek, General Manager for North West Europe at Lexmark, commented: “At Lexmark, we’ve always been in the business of providing best-in-class solutions, and the fact that we’ve been awarded a place on the Crown Commercial Services Government Framework is a testament to this. We already work with a host of government bodies and public sector institutions providing managed print and content services, enabling them to digitise workflows.
“This new framework allows us to continue doing this work as more organisations look to make this move from paper to digital. We’re thrilled to have been chosen for this framework and can’t wait to get started.”
